Diebold Accidentally Leaks Results Of 2008 Election Early

Monday, March 17, 2008

While surveying the wreckage of the American economy, the Iraq war and just about everything else that’s happened under Bush’s watch over the past seven-plus years today, I remembered something remarkable:

The Republicans actually impeached Bill Clinton for lying about a hummer.

How in God’s name are we going to explain this shit to our children?

Sadly No

Poll: Bullshit Is Most Important Issue For 2008 Voters

Sheer Pro-punditry

The latest MSM story line is:...."Well even if he (Edwards) does win Iowa (which most polls are showing as being a likely outcome) he doesn't have the money or organization to carry him in to New Hampshire" (That last part paraphrasing George Snufflelufugus this morning...still lovin Hil a little are we Georgie!). Pundits....they are always right....exept....when they are wrong. Obama must be watching, because he tried a little dog wagging himself this morning, claiming that only he (among the top three dems) beats all of the rethug candidates. Barack....check out the graph above, and the post below. I like ya, but ......no way.

Which Dem Is the Most Likely to Win The White House?

Now that the caucuses are only days away, dem voters had better stop ignoring the media proclamations about who is or is not inevitable and start asking themselves this question. Which candidate is most likely to win the general election. The choice has been obvious for anyone outside the beltway for at least a year, but the MSM wants a horse race, even if they have to stick rockets up a few ponies asses to get one. Over the past couple of weeks, I have noticed some of the press core beginning to hedge their bets: Oh...don't count Edwards out....he may win because of his second choice status ect......The fact is, a vote for anyone else diminishes the chances of ending this nightmare. If you live in Iowa, New Hampshire, or South Carolina: It is time to wake up and face reality, don't blow it. We cant afford another regime like this and overestimating the intelligence of the electorate (ie...my cat could beat any of these repug midgets) has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory before. This may look like an easy win, but it can still be lost. After eight years, are you willing to shoot craps?

Oilco: Why $100 A Barrel Oil? Because We Can...

Instead of exhuming archival footage of gas station lines from the '70s, producers might have re-aired the more recent tape of former Harken Energy director George W. Bush strolling hand-in-hand through the Crawford bluebonnets with Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah, just in case anyone was wondering about the durability of the generations-long House of Bush-House of Saud alliance. And speaking of His Highness, perhaps it also would have been useful to see the There He Goes! Here He Comes! Andrews Air Force Base shots of Cheney's 14-hours-each-way flight to see King Abdullah for eight hours in Riyadh, a no-press-corps/no-press-conference trip just after Thanksgiving last year which surely had nothing to do with oil, ya think?
